7 Days Tour From Casablanca, Marrakech & The coast of Southern Morocco :

This tour shows you some highlights of the city of Marrakech, the Atlas mountains and the Atlantic beaches and can also take place in the summer months when it is too hot for the desert.

Day 1: Casablanca – Marrakech

Pick up in your hotel in Casablanca and drive to the red city of Marrakech, where you will enjoy a 4-hour guided walk in the medina with a local city guide in the afternoon. You will visit all the famous attractions as the Bahia Palace, the Saadia tombs and the Medersa ben Youssef Coran School. You’ll arrive at the Koutoubia mosque and the Djemaa el Fna-square, where you can drink some freshly made orange juice while observing the bustle of the snake charmers, henna tatoo artists and water sellers.Individual dinner and overnight in your Riad in the medina of Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech – Taroudant

Departure in direction Taroudant passing through a winding narrow road which goes up to the valley of the river Oued n'Fiss. We will climb up the mountains for 15 km until Tizi-n-Test, the pass at 2'092 m. Enjoy the breathtaking view over the moutains and the winding road. Be aware that the weather can change really fast here! After descending we will arrive at the red city Taroudant, a beautiful fortified town in front of the snowcovered Atlas Mountains. Taroudant is a nice city to stroll around and see the Berber people selling their fruits and vegetables from the area. Dinner and overnight in your Riad near the old town.

Day 3: Taroudant – Tafraoute

After a rich morroccan breakfast in your Riad, we will continue our route through a region of olive and argan trees to reach the Anti Atlas. This region is full of nice sites to discover like small oasises full of palm trees, acient rock carvings, interesting rock formations and the almond trees in full bloom from February on. You will have some free time in the afternoon to rent a bike and explore the surroundings by yourself. Dinner and overnight in your Riad in Tafraoute.

Day 4: Tafraoute – Mirleft – Beach of Gzira (Legzira) – Sidi Ifni

Today, after breakfast in the Riad, we will start the route out of the mountains in direction southern coast. As the road winds over the Anti-Atlas peaks and through the valleys, you'll enjoy many panoramic views. The former Kasbah at Col du Kerdous (1'203 m) is almost exactly halfway between Tafraoute and Tiznit, the silver capital of Morocco. We'll arrive soon after at the coastline and in the Kite-Surf Mekka Mirleft. If time at wheater permits it, we'll go for a swim on the nearby spectacular beach of Gzira with its red sands and impressive rock windows. A short drive south along the coast lies Sidi Ifni, where you can enjoy fresh fish for dinner. This ancient fishing town was in spanish hands until 1969 and has still a relaxing spanish flair. Individual dinner and overnight in a Riad in Sidi Ifni.

Day 5: Sidi Ifni – Massa Valley – Agadir – Essaouira

Today after breakfast, we leave Sidi Ifni with its Art-Déco-buildings and are following the road along the coast and the beaches until we reach the green Massa Valley. Passing the famous beach destination Agadir with its huge hotel complexes only stopping for a panoramic view over old Agadir, we will soon arrive at Taghazout, another famous surf destination and fishing town where you can enjoy your lunch. Afterward, we are following the coastal road again until we reach Essaouira, our destination for the next 2 nights. Enjoy the individual dinner in one of the hunderts of fish restaurants in the lovely Medina. Overnight in a Riad in Essaouira.

Day 6: Explore Essaouira

Today, you will have the whole day to enjoy the relaxing athmosphere of the Hippie-town Essaouira on your own. The attractive coastal town has a lot to offer: Visit the traditional port, the golden beach which is famous for wind- and kitesurfing and stroll through the bustling medina to buy souvenirs and art work. Eat some fresh fish for lunch and enjoy the sea breeze during a camel ride on the sandy beach. Visit the historic ramparts and imagine life in the 16th century on the fortress with its beautiful view of the shoreline. Individual dinner and overnight in a Riad in Essaouira.

Day 7: Essaouira – Casablanca

After breakfast, we will return to Casablanca. Enjoy the drive through the breathtaking Moroccan countryside with its shattered villages, olive groves and wild Argan trees. We can stop in a local co-operative run by women who extract the Argan oil from the trees and discover how it is processed into cooking oil and cosmetics. You can taste and buy the products if you like. Drop off at your Riad/Hotel in Casablanca in the early afternoon.
